The opposing team should watch the sand timer and say "stop" when time is up. His/her teammates have approximately 10 seconds to shout out words or phrases they think the Actor is acting out. When the Actor is ready to act out a charade, the opposing team turns the sand timer, and the Actor begins. The Actor's goal is to get his/her teammate(s) to correctly guess what word or phrase he/she is acting out. The number on the die indicates the number on the charade card the Actor is to act out. The Actor should not show his/her card to anyone. The Actor rolls the die and takes a charade card from the top of the card pile. The oldest player takes the first turn as the Actor. Playing with 4 or More PlayersÄivide into two teams. Players may consult a dictionary for definitions, if needed. The only sound allowed in acting out any scenario is the squeak of the chicken - don't be afraid to use it! No words, grunts or other vocal utterances are allowed and can lead to disqualification. For example, if the word is "lasso, " the Actor might spin the chicken above his/her head as if it is a lasso and pretend to throw it as a cowboy might or, he/she might pretend to throw a lasso at the chicken and act out the chicken being lassoed.
